I may in the near future start another book and incorporate some of the writing from this blog into that work. I have therefore removed some of my blog posts from the public domain.
Here is my current working title: "How I Moved to the West Indies and Lived to Tell the Tale"

Good luck on the new book project... but we shall miss your blog... if I understand correctly that you are abandoning it :-((
refinery opposition has lost a big source of public support, but i understand. all my best wishes, leslie
Oh well that explains it all. I beginning to wonder if perhaps the venezuelans had paid you off when i saw those "war on refinery" posts disappear mysteriously Lol...Anyway best of luck on your book(s).
Thank you Leslie and Minerva for your well wishes!
Jazon, I only WISH the Venezuelans would throw money at us.
Sorry to see this. I wish you well with your writing/publishing. However, I used your blog site for my jumping-off point for the other Dominica blogs.
Guess I'll just need to bookmark them myself....
Neil
O.K. so... I miss you already. Email me sometime if you want to and let me know how you are.
I'll miss your blog - be sure to let us know if you start another one up one day!
Hope to see you in D/A!
xo
I wish you all the very best with the new book and feel privileged to have had a sneak preview, having always enjoyed your blog I know it will be a huge success,
but I feel a loss, I am bereft, no Jen to visit. Tell me I'm wrong and that there will still be a little snippet of a post for us. xxx
Okay, now I feel like the guy who comes home from work and finds all the furniture gone. Speak to me.
I will probably revamp the blog as "Leaving Dominica" and chronicle our dramas as tropical dwellers returning to the temperate zone. Watch this space!
Oh wow, so it sounds as if your time on the rock is coming to an end? I haven't commented much, but I've been reading for a while. On to new adventures, I suppose. Though I will be curious to read about the straw (or landslide or oil refinery) that broke the camel's back.
What?
Oh please, the suspense is killing me.
What would Darwin say?
Possibly Darwin would say that for some species to survive they must migrate to more hospitable climes.
Leaving dominica? Thats sad to hear..When you said that you were removing some of your posts in order to write a book i didnt take it to mean you were going to stop blogging...I will surely miss it as it was and still is an everyday routine to read your Blog...Hope your book will be available in Dominican stores so that locals could get a share of your insights
